As a diagnostic method in laboratory medicine, flow cytometry enables automated examinations of the cellular components of blood, cerebrospinal fluid and bone marrow, among others, using fluorescence. Using immunophenotyping of cells, it is possible, for example, to make statements about cellular immune status and other hematological diseases.
