The Neuroimmunology Group is involved in characterizing the spectrum of clinical syndromes associated with known synaptic, neuronal and glial autoantibodies, identifying new target antigens of autoantibodies, investigating molecular mechanisms of autoimmune encephalitis, and coordinating national research projects in the German Network for Autoimmune Encephalitis Research (GENERATE) and developing national guidelines in diagnostics and therapy of autoimmune encephalitis.
