Diseases of the pancreas play a relevant role in Eastern European countries. In these regions, the care of patients with diseases of the pancreas, in particular pancreatic carcinoma and acute and chronic pancreatitis, has a high need for development but also a high development potential. However, despite high numbers of patients, structured research projects in the field of pancreas research are missing. To intensify pancreas research in these regions, the Department of Surgery of the UKSH, Campus Lübeck, announces two research fellowships for resident physicians, sponsored by private research funding for pancreas research.
Each scholarship is funded with € 500 and is to cover travel costs and costs at the place of scholarship. The associated research projects on diseases of the pancreas are carried out at the University of Lübeck, at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Lübeck, Department of Surgery.
Application Deadline is 01.11.2019
Information about selection results of the scholarship will be given until 30.11.2019.
Applications should include a structured curriculum vitae and the motivation for pancreas research and previous work in this field.
