Ethics and Responsible Innovation

Addressing ethical, legal, and social aspects of cancer research and innovation

Ethical, legal, and social considerations are an integral part of modern cancer research, particularly in areas such as precision medicine, data-driven research, and emerging technologies. At UCCSH, these aspects are addressed through interdisciplinary collaboration with partners in ethics, social sciences, and biomedical research.

By integrating ethical reflection into research processes, these initiatives support responsible innovation, strengthen public trust, and contribute to the sustainable development of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

Ethical Innovation Hub (University of Lübeck)

The Ethical Innovation Hub (EIH) at the University of Lübeck is an interdisciplinary research initiative that explores ethical, legal, and social implications of biomedical innovation.

Its work focuses on topics such as digital health, artificial intelligence, data use, and personalized medicine. By bringing together expertise from medicine, natural sciences, and the humanities, the EIH contributes to the responsible development and implementation of innovative technologies in healthcare.
