Less Invasive Surfactant Administration – LISA IV

Dear colleagues,

in the last 20 years, non-invasive ventilation has become more and more popular. This trend promoted the search for new techniques also to deliver surfactant to spontaneously breathing preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome.

The fourth international workshop on Less Invasive Surfactant Administration (LISA IV) brings together experts from all over the world that have contributed to this concept.

The medieval town of Lübeck will hopefully be an inspiring venue for fruitful discussions on topics like:

The hybrid technology will allow including contributions e.g. from the U.S. and from Australia and will also allow to open the conference to a wider international spectrum of neonatologists with an interest in the LISA technique.

The main sponsor is the German Research Council (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)) which also reflects the growing scientific interest in this field.
