Integrating basic, translational, clinical, and health care research to advance cancer care
Cancer research at UCCSH is driven by interdisciplinary collaboration, scientific excellence, and a strong translational focus. Across the Kiel and Lübeck campuses, researchers from diverse disciplines work together to understand cancer biology, develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, and improve patient-centered care.
Structured into five strategic research programs, the UCCSH Research Center integrates basic, translational, clinical, and health care research within a connected and collaborative framework. Supported by dedicated research infrastructures, funding programs, and cross-campus initiatives, including joint activities with UCC Hamburg, UCCSH provides an environment in which scientific discoveries can be rapidly translated into clinical application and long-term improvements in cancer care.
