NORD-Workshop “Inflammation & Cancer”

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the next NORD-Workshop “Inflammation & Cancer”, jointly organized by the University Cancer Center Schleswig-Holstein (UCCSH) and the University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCC Hamburg). The workshop brings together researchers from Hamburg, Kiel and Lübeck to exchange expertise, present current research and identify opportunities for new cross-site collaborations.

The scientific program will feature research overviews from PD Dr. Felix Sommer (Kiel), Dr. Darko Castven (Lübeck) and Prof. Dr. Nicola Gagliani (Hamburg), followed by selected short presentations from participants. Researchers at all career stages are invited to submit an abstract for a short talk or poster.

The afternoon will focus on interactive matchmaking and project development, bringing together complementary expertise, methods and research questions. Groups can develop joint project ideas, present short pitches and receive scientific feedback, with the opportunity to apply for up to €20,000 in CONNECT Speed Grant funding for cross-site pilot projects.

PhD students, Postdocs, Clinician Scientists, Medical Scientists and Principal Investigators working on inflammation, cancer, immunology and related research areas.
